The Pokémon Company and The Pokémon Works have announced a new Pokémon battle game called Pokémon Champions. The game will launch on Nintendo Switch in April 2026, followed by iOS and Android later in the year.
Pokémon Champions focuses on battles. It will include familiar mechanics, two formats, three battle modes, and the ability to bring Pokémon from Pokemon HOME.
Trainers can start battling on the Switch in April. Later in 2026, mobile players will also be able to join the action.
Pokémon Champions will also connect with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. By linking both games to Pokémon Home, trainers can bring Pokémon that appear in both titles into Pokémon Champions. These Pokémon can join battles and help trainers aim for the title of Champion.
Players who transfer certain Mega Stones from Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokemon HOME can also claim rewards in Pokémon Champions. These include the Chesnaughtite Stone, Delphoxite Stone, and Greninjite Stone.
The game is expected to appear on the main stage at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.
