Infinix has launched the Infinix NOTE Edge 5G in India. This is the company’s first model in the new Edge series. The phone focuses on battery life, display quality, and slim design.
The device comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 4500 nits peak brightness and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The bezels are very slim at 1.87mm.
The Infinix NOTE Edge 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor built on a 6nm process. Infinix claims it is the first smartphone in India to use this chipset. The company says the phone has scored over 7,50,000 on AnTuTu.
For gaming, the phone supports up to 90FPS. It also includes AI-based gaming features such as Performance Mode, Magic Voice Changer, Network Enhancement, and Bypass Charging. The bypass charging feature powers the phone directly without heating the battery during gaming.
The phone runs on Android 16 with XOS 16. It comes with the FOLAX AI assistant that can be accessed using a customizable side button. It supports features like screen analysis, translation, and content summarization. Infinix promises three major Android updates and five years of security updates.
The Infinix NOTE Edge 5G features a 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. It supports 2K video recording at 30fps. On the front, there is a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The camera app includes Live Photo mode that captures short video clips with audio along with still images. It also offers AI-based editing tools.
The phone measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 185g for the Green variant and 190g for the Blue and Titanium variants. It comes in Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, and Silk Green colors. The Silk Green version uses a special finish that gives a leather-like texture. The phone also has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The device also features dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.
It packs a 6500mAh battery. This is the largest battery Infinix has used in a smartphone so far. Despite the big battery, the phone remains slim at 7.2mm. The company says the battery can retain over 80 percent capacity even after 2,000 charge cycles. The phone supports 45W fast charging and can charge up to 50 percent in 27 minutes. It also supports 10W reverse charging.
The Infinix NOTE Edge 5G is priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs. 23,999, and the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 25,999.
The smartphone will go on sale starting February 25 through Flipkart and the Infinix India online store.
