Google has officially announced the dates for Google I/O 2026. The company will host its annual developer conference on May 19 and May 20. The event will highlight the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, Gemini, Android, Chrome, Google Cloud, and other key platforms.

Google I/O is the company’s biggest developer-focused event of the year. It brings together company executives, developers, and tech enthusiasts from around the world. The conference is expected to focus heavily on AI this year, especially updates around Gemini and new AI-powered experiences across Google products.
Google has confirmed that the event will include keynote sessions, fireside chats, dialogue sessions, and panel discussions. Topics will cover next-generation AI models, agentic coding, and major updates to the Gemini ecosystem.

A wide range of announcements related to Gemini, AI tools, and Android upgrades are expected. Google is likely to showcase how its AI models are becoming more capable and deeply integrated across its services.

The company is also offering a “save-the-date” interactive experience. Users can play, create, and remix content built using Gemini. This gives an early look at how Google plans to make the conference more interactive and AI-driven.

Google I/O 2026 will take place both online and in person at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The event will begin on May 19 at 10 a.m. PT, which is 10:30 p.m. IST.

The full conference will be livestreamed over two days on the official website. Developers and interested users can register online to receive updates and access to all live sessions.
