Microsoft has kicked off the first Xbox Free Play Days event of 2026, and it is a big one. This weekend, Xbox players can try seven EA Sports games at no extra cost. The offer is live now and runs until Sunday night.

This time, the Free Play Days promotion is fully focused on EA Sports titles. Some games require an Xbox Game Pass membership, while others are open to all Xbox players without a subscription.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members get access to four major sports games. These include the latest football, soccer, and hockey titles from EA. Players can jump into full matches, modes, and online play during the free period.

At the same time, three other EA Sports games are free for everyone on Xbox. No Game Pass subscription is needed to try these titles, making this weekend a good chance for more players to jump in.

Another benefit of Free Play Days is progress carryover. If you decide to buy any of these games after the weekend, your saved data and progress will transfer automatically.

Here is the full list of games available this weekend and the platforms they support:

  • EA SPORTS FC 26 (Xbox Series X and Series S, and Xbox One)
  • EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 (Xbox Series X and Series S)
  • EA SPORTS College Football 26 (Xbox Series X and Series S)
  • EA Sports NHL 26 (Xbox Series X and Series S)
  • F1 25 (Xbox Series X and Series S)
  • UFC 5 (Xbox Series X and Series S)
  • EA SPORTS PGA Tour (Xbox Series X and Series S)

To find these games on your Xbox console, open the Microsoft Store, go to the Home section, then select Subscriptions. The Free Play Days collection will be visible there.

The Free Play Days event will end on Sunday, January 18, at 11:59 pm PT. After that, the games will return to their regular prices.
