Redmi is set to launch a new smartphone, Redmi Turbo 5 Max, in China later this month. The phone will come with a huge 9,000mAh battery, one of the largest ever seen in a Redmi phone. The company has now shared official details about the design and battery.

The 9,000mAh battery is expected to deliver excellent battery life. Redmi says the battery performance could be similar to what many phones offer with even larger cells. The phone is also likely to support 100W wired fast charging.

The phone’s design has also been revealed in official teasers. It will have a large screen with slim bezels, a flat display with a punch hole for the selfie camera, and a vertical camera module on the back.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. This chip uses a 3nm process and aims to offer strong performance for gaming and daily use. Early benchmark results show the phone scored over 3.29 million on AnTuTu, which suggests it can compete with many high end phones in performance.

Redmi has not confirmed a global launch yet. But reports say the same phone could be sold outside China with a different name. In India and other markets, it may launch as the Poco X8 Pro Max. This phone has already appeared in certification listings with the expected model number, suggesting the broader launch in coming months.
