Poco is getting ready to launch the Poco M8 on January 8. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed several key specifications of the smartphone.
The Poco M8 will feature a 6.77-inch 3D curved OLED display. It comes with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Poco also claims a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. It includes Wet Touch 2.0 technology, which allows better touch response even with wet fingers
According to the brand, this is the most durable 3D curved display phone in its segment. The device is also MIL-STD-810H certified and carries an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. Poco says the device has been drop tested from heights of up to 1.7 meters.
POCO also says that the device will be the slimmest phone the company has ever made. It measures just 7.35mm in thickness and weighs only 178 grams. It would also be the slimmest and lightest phone in its price segment.
While Poco has not officially confirmed all the hardware details, Flipkart listings have revealed more information. The Poco M8 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It may feature a 50MP main camera along with a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the phone is likely to come with a 20MP front camera. The device is also expected to pack a 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging.
