MSI has unveiled the Prestige 16 at CES 2026, and its battery life is the biggest highlight. The laptop delivers more than 30 hours of 1080p video playback on a single charge. This puts it ahead of most competing laptops, including Apple’s MacBook Pro.
The Prestige 16 is part of MSI’s new Prestige series, which is designed for business users and professionals who need reliable performance and long battery life. The laptop packs an 81Wh battery and still manages to stay lightweight. Its aluminum chassis keeps the weight at just 1.59 kilograms, making it easy to carry for long workdays and travel.
It packs Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors paired with Intel Arc B390 graphics. MSI says this setup delivers steady performance for professional tasks such as content creation, multitasking, and productivity work. The focus is clearly on balancing power with efficiency.
The laptop supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x memory. Storage is handled by a single PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD slot, which offers fast read and write speeds. This makes it suitable for working with large files and media-heavy projects.
The laptop features a 16-inch OLED panel with a 2.8K resolution. It supports variable refresh rates from 48Hz to 120Hz and covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut. MSI has also added DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification and low blue light support. This helps reduce eye strain during long working hours while maintaining accurate colors.
It includes a backlit keyboard with a dedicated Copilot Key. This allows quick access to AI-powered features in Windows. MSI also offers the Action Touchpad and MSI Nano Pen, which are aimed at users who need precise control for creative or professional work.
Security features include TPM 2.0, a fingerprint scanner, an IR webcam, and Smart Guard presence-based auto-locking. These features are aimed at business users who care about privacy and data protection.
Audio is handled by dual 2W stereo speakers with woofers, along with spatial microphones and DTS Audio processing. For cooling, MSI uses a dual-fan vapor chamber system. The company claims this keeps performance stable while keeping noise levels below 30dBA.
The Prestige 16 includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort and power delivery, two USB-A 3.2 ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port. The HDMI port supports up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. Wireless connectivity includes Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth version 6.
The laptop is now up for preorder starting January 6, 2026, with official sales rolling out from January 27, 2026.
