Motorola has officially unveiled the motorola razr fold at CES 2026. This is the newest addition to the iconic Razr lineup and also a major change in direction for the brand. Unlike earlier Razr models that followed a clamshell design, the razr fold adopts a book-style foldable form factor.
The motorola razr fold features a dual-display setup that is designed to handle different usage scenarios. When folded, the phone offers a 6.56-inch external display. This screen uses a standard candy-bar style aspect ratio, allowing users to check messages, browse apps, attend calls, and handle everyday tasks without opening the device. Once unfolded, the razr fold reveals a large 8.1-inch internal LTPO display with 2K resolution. This bigger screen is designed for multitasking, content creation, and productivity-focused work. Motorola has kept the device slim to ensure that it remains comfortable to hold even when fully opened.
Motorola has added adaptive software layouts to make better use of the large inner display. The phone also supports the moto pen ultra stylus, which makes note-taking, sketching, and precise navigation easier.
On-device AI plays an important role in the user experience. Features like “Catch me up” help summarize notifications, while “Next Move” suggests actions based on user activity. These tools are aimed at improving workflow and reducing the need to constantly switch between apps.
The phone features a 50MP main rear camera for everyday photography, a 50MP ultrawide camera that also supports macro shots and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera that offers 3x optical zoom for capturing distant subjects.
For selfies and video calls, the razr fold includes a 32MP external front camera that works when the phone is folded. On the inside, there is a 20MP selfie camera designed for video conferencing on the larger display.
It also boasts Dolby Vision recording and impressively steady video stabilization. This makes it suitable for users who want high-quality video with better dynamic range and smoother footage.
The motorola razr fold will be available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White color options. Motorola has confirmed that pricing, market availability, and full specifications will be announced closer to launch.
