Nintendo has rolled out a new software update for Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2. The latest update brings the game to version 1.5.0 and includes a few gameplay tweaks along with several bug fixes.
One of the main changes in this update is the addition of team races in Knockout Tour. Players can now race as teams when playing with friends in a multiplayer room through Online Play or Wireless Play. This adds a new way to enjoy the Knockout Tour mode with friends.
The update also adds support for the Polish language. Players can change the game language from the System Settings menu on the console.
Along with new features, Nintendo has fixed a few issues affecting gameplay. One of the fixes mentions a problem that occurred when playing as Kamek on Choco Mountain. While Kamek is not a playable character in Mario Kart World, this likely refers to the Kamek item used during races. Another issue where player ratings were sometimes shown incorrectly when joining “Everyone” in Online Play while in a room has also been resolved. Nintendo says several other minor issues have been fixed to improve the overall gameplay experience.
