Lenovo is known for experimenting with bold laptop designs, and the company has again come up with an interesting product. At CES 2026, the company introduced another unique concept with the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist. This laptop comes with a motorized coating display.
At first look, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist appears like a regular clamshell laptop. However, its key highlight is the motorized display hinge. Lenovo has added a mechanism that automatically rotates the screen based on the user’s position and usage scenario.
Despite the advanced hinge system and OLED panel, Lenovo has managed to keep the weight at around 1.4kg, making it relatively easy to carry.
The laptop features a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the rotating hinge, the display can shift between standard laptop mode, presentation-style orientation, and a tablet-like setup. This allows users to adjust the screen without manually flipping the device.
It packs latest Intel Core Ultra 300 series processors and supports up to 32GB of DDR5 memory running at 9600 MT per second. The laptop also has 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For wireless connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The laptop packs a 75Wh battery, which should offer solid battery life for daily work.
Lenovo has confirmed that the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist will go on sale in June 2026. The laptop will start at a price of $1,649.
