iQOO launched the iQOO 15 in India back in November 2025. While attention is slowly shifting towards the upcoming Z Turbo lineup, a new phone from the number series appears to be on the way. This device is expected to be called the iQOO 15R.
The iQOO 15R has been spotted on the Bluetooth certification website with the model number I2508. This listing was first noticed by The Tech Outlook. The certification suggests that the phone is already in advanced testing stages, which usually means a launch is not very far away.

What makes this sighting interesting is the name itself. iQOO has never launched an R branded model under its premium number series before. Until now, the R branding has been limited to mid range phones like the Neo and Z series. If the iQOO 15R launches, it will be the first R model in the flagship number lineup.
At the moment, there are no official details about the phone’s specifications. However, online chatter suggests that the iQOO 15R could be based on the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is expected to launch in China. That said, it is unlikely to be a direct rebrand.
The iQOO Z11 Turbo is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Since the regular iQOO 15 already comes with that processor, it makes more sense for the iQOO 15R to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 instead. This would help iQOO clearly separate the two models in terms of performance and pricing.
The iQOO 15R could retain many features from the Z11 Turbo. Rumours point to a new porthole style rear camera design and a large 7,600mAh battery. If true, this would already make it stand out in the premium mid range segment.
There is also talk of a 6.59 inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and LTPS technology. A 200MP main camera is also being discussed. If these specs make it to the final product, the iQOO 15R could offer strong value for money and directly compete with phones like the OnePlus 15R in India.
