A small slip-up from Microsoft may have revealed important details about the next Forza Horizon game. Before any official trailer or gameplay showcase, an in-game message has hinted at when Forza Horizon 6 could arrive and what players can expect from it.
The leak comes from a banner spotted inside Forza Horizon 5. The message encourages players to pre-order Forza Horizon 6 and mentions early access starting on May 15, 2026. If this information is accurate, the full launch should follow a few days later. Microsoft has not commented on the date yet, but a proper reveal is expected very soon.
The same banner also confirms a major change for the series. Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan. This new location could bring fresh road types, city environments, and scenic countryside routes. The game is described as the largest open-world Forza Horizon experience so far, which suggests a map bigger than the already massive Forza Horizon 5.
Another detail revealed is the number of cars available at launch. The game will feature more than 550 licensed vehicles. While this is slightly lower than the previous title, Forza Horizon games usually expand their car list over time through updates, events, and paid expansions.
Players who choose the Premium Edition will get early access and several bonuses. These include special car packs, a VIP pass, and two major expansions planned for later release. This follows the same content strategy seen in earlier Forza Horizon games.
Forza Horizon 6 is expected to release on PC and Xbox Series X and Series S first. A PlayStation 5 version is also planned, but it will arrive at a later stage.
