The Epic Games Store has refreshed its New Year giveaway with a surprise double drop. PC gamers can now claim Total War: Three Kingdoms and Wildgate for free. Both games can be added to your library permanently if claimed before January 8.
Total War: Three Kingdoms is a popular strategy game developed by Creative Assembly. It first launched in 2019 and is set in ancient China during a time of intense conflict. Players can choose to unite the land through diplomacy or full-scale war. The game also features legendary warriors from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, each with powerful abilities that can change the course of battles.
Wildgate offers a very different experience. It is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter set in space and developed by Moonshot Games. Players control spaceships and compete against other crews while also dealing with environmental threats. Each match includes objectives like collecting valuable artifacts or taking down enemy ships. With the game now free, it is expected to attract more players and revive online activity.
Both giveaways are live on the Epic Games Store right now until January 8. This marks the final phase of the holiday promotion. Starting January 8, Epic will return to its regular weekly free games, beginning with Bloons TD 6.
During this holiday season, Epic has already given away several major titles. These include Hogwarts Legacy, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, The Callisto Protocol, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Cassette Beasts, Viewfinder, Trine Collection, and Chivalry 2.
