French audio maker Devialet has launched its new Phantom Ultimate speakers in India. This is the first time the Phantom Ultimate series will be sold in the Indian market. The new range brings updated design, improved sound technology, and expanded streaming options.

Devialet said the Phantom Ultimate builds on the success of its original Phantom speakers, which first launched in 2015. The new models keep the iconic shape but refine the look with cleaner lines and updated materials.

The speaker falls in the high-end wireless speakers segment and focuses on delivering more precise sound, deeper bass, and a more immersive listening experience. The device reflects over a decade of research and development, supported by more than 250 patents across acoustics, electronics, and signal processing.

The Phantom Ultimate keeps the iconic Phantom silhouette but refines it further. The body looks cleaner and more seamless than earlier models. On the Phantom Ultimate 108 dB variant, Devialet has removed the woofer core cover. Even if this looks like a small change, the company had to go with a full redesign of the internal structure and assembly process. The tweeter grille has also been redesigned with simpler lines after months of testing to balance appearance and sound quality.

The speakers come in new finishes called Deep Forest and Light Pearl. Devialet also offers special Opéra de Paris editions with gold leaf details, made in partnership with the Opéra national de Paris.

Devialet has packed the Phantom Ultimate with its latest audio technologies. This includes a new generation of ADH amplification, SAM technology to protect drivers, and the HBI system for deep bass down to 14 Hz on the 108 dB model. The speakers also use AVL to adjust volume automatically based on the content.

A new NXP i.MX 8M Nano processor powers the Phantom Ultimate range. The speakers run on Devialet OS 3 software, which Devialet says will support future products. The software brings a redesigned app with listening modes for Music, Podcast, and Cinema. The app also has a six-band equalizer, bass control, and loudness adjustment.

Devialet has announced two main versions of the Phantom Ultimate. The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB delivers up to 1,100W of power. It handles audio with up to 32-bit and 96kHz resolution and covers 14 Hz to 35 kHz. The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB offers a smaller design with 400W output and a frequency range of 18 Hz to 25 kHz.

Phantom Ultimate supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and UPnP. It has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.

The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB is priced at Rs. 4,08,999 for the Deep Forest and Light Pearl versions. The Opéra de Paris edition costs Rs. 4,82,999. The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB is priced at Rs. 1,99,999 for the standard versions and Rs. 2,32,999 for the Opéra de Paris edition.
