ASUS has expanded its gaming audio lineup at CES 2026 with the launch of the ROG Cetra Open Wireless Earbuds. These new earbuds are aimed at users who want immersive sound without losing awareness of their surroundings, making them suitable for gaming, music, and everyday outdoor use.

The ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds use an open-ear design, which allows users to hear ambient sounds while listening to audio. ASUS says this design focuses on long-term comfort and safety, especially for people who wear earbuds for extended hours. The earbuds come with ergonomic liquid silicone ear hooks and a detachable reflective neck strap to ensure a secure fit during workouts or gaming sessions.

It packs a large 14.2mm driver with diamond-like carbon coating. This setup helps deliver clear and detailed sound with low distortion. The earbuds also include built-in audio modes such as Phantom Bass for stronger low-end presence and an Immersion mode that reduces surrounding noise without fully blocking it.

The earbuds support dual-mode wireless connectivity. It allows users to switch between standard Bluetooth and ASUS ROG SpeedNova 2.4GHz wireless technology. For the first time in an ROG audio product, ASUS is also bundling a USB Type-C 2.4GHz dongle. This dongle supports one-way passthrough charging, so users can charge their device while the earbuds remain connected.

The ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds use a quad-microphone setup with AI-based noise cancellation. Physical buttons on the earbuds provide tactile controls, which can be more reliable than touch controls during gaming or workouts. These buttons are designed to handle sweat and light rain.

The earbuds also feature RGB lighting, staying true to the ROG gaming style, and come with an IPX5 rating for splash resistance. Battery life is rated at up to 16 hours in Bluetooth mode with RGB and sound modes turned off. Fast charging is supported as well, with a 15-minute charge delivering up to three hours of playback.

ASUS is currently showcasing the ROG Cetra Open Wireless Earbuds at CES 2026. The company has not yet revealed pricing or availability details. More information for global markets, including India, is expected closer to the official launch.
