Arknights: Endfield is now officially available, and this is a big moment for fans of the franchise and RPG players in general. The free-to-play 3D RPG has launched on PlayStation 5, PC through the official launcher and Epic Games Store, as well as on iOS and Android. Publisher GRYPHLINE and developer Mountain Contour confirmed the release earlier today.
To celebrate the launch, players are being rewarded generously. The game offers sign-in bonuses and milestone rewards that add up to at least 135 pulls across different banners. For gacha-focused players, this is a strong incentive to jump in early and build a solid roster from day one.
What makes Arknights: Endfield especially interesting is how it expands the Arknights universe beyond its mobile roots. The original Arknights series has crossed 100 million downloads, but Endfield is the first entry designed with console and PC players in mind. Instead of sticking to a 2D format, the developers have taken a bold step into a fully 3D world.
According to GRYPHLINE co-founder and director Light Zhong, the shift from 2D to 3D was a major challenge. Rather than following popular trends, the team focused on gameplay systems they genuinely enjoy, especially factory automation. This idea became a core part of Endfield’s identity and plays a big role in how the game feels different from typical action RPGs.
Arknights: Endfield offers real-time combat, exploration, and base-building. Players control squads of up to four Operators and fight in fast-paced encounters that reward smart positioning, skill timing, and elemental synergies. Combat is not just about button mashing. It is about combining abilities and stacking effects to deal higher damage, which should appeal to players who enjoy tactical depth.
The story introduces players to Talos-II, a harsh and industrial planet. You play as the Endministrator, also known as the Endmin, a legendary figure awakened after ten years to lead Endfield Industries. From an orbital headquarters called the OMV Dijiang, you manage operations on the planet, defend against organized raider clans, and uncover secrets tied to a mysterious directive known as the Zeroth Directive.
From a technical point of view, Arknights: Endfield also delivers a premium experience. The game supports up to 120 frames per second and includes modern visual features like realistic snow effects and environmental reflections. On PC, players can enable NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation separately, which is a big plus for performance-focused gamers. Controller support is also well handled, with plug-and-play compatibility and haptic feedback on supported devices.
