Alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi has also launched the Xiaomi Buds 6 in China. These are the company’s latest half-in-ear wireless earbuds and are clearly aimed at users who want good sound quality without using bulky in-ear tips.

The Xiaomi Buds 6 are very light, with each earbud weighing just 4.4 grams. Xiaomi says the new bionic curve design helps the buds sit more naturally in the ear canal. This should make them more comfortable for long listening sessions, especially for calls and music.

The Buds 6 are powered by Snapdragon Sound and support aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive codecs. They also come with Hi-Res Audio support, offering 24-bit, 48kHz lossless playback at speeds of up to 2.1Mbps. In simple terms, this means cleaner sound with better detail, especially when used with supported phones.

Xiaomi has used a new three-magnet driver along with a 24K gold-plated diaphragm. This setup improves high-frequency response by 30 percent. As a result, users can expect clearer vocals, sharper treble, and stronger bass. The sound is tuned by HARMAN’s Golden Ear team, which adds more credibility for audio lovers. There are special modes like Harman Audio EFX and Harman Master Mode for different listening preferences.

Even though these are half in-ear buds, Xiaomi has included active noise cancellation. The semi-in-ear ANC helps reduce background noise without blocking the ear completely. There is also spatial audio support, which can make movies and games feel more immersive.

For calls, the Xiaomi Buds 6 use a three-mic setup with AI noise reduction. Xiaomi claims it can handle strong wind noise and loud ambient sounds, which should help with clearer voice calls. The buds also support dual-device connection, making it easy to switch between a phone and a laptop.

Another useful feature is Apple Find My support. This makes it easier to locate the earbuds if they are misplaced. The Buds 6 also support independent recording, real-time transcription, smart summaries, and translation features, which could be useful for meetings and travel.

The earbuds offer up to 6.5 hours of use on a single charge with noise cancellation turned off. With the charging case, total battery life goes up to 35 hours. With ANC on, battery life drops, but it should still be enough for daily use. The buds and case are rated IP54, so they can handle dust and light splashes.

The Xiaomi Buds 6 come in Pearl White, Titanium Gold, Moon Shadow Black, and Nebula Purple color options. They are priced at 699 yuan and are already available for sale in China.
