Star Wars fans have a new reason to get excited. Publisher Secret Mode and developer Fuse Games have announced Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a high-speed racing game set in the Star Wars universe. It will be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Fuse Games promises a racing experience unlike anything seen before.
“With Star Wars: Galactic Racer, we wanted to reinvent what a racing game can be: adventurous, spectacular, and exhilarating,” said Webster. “We want every race to feel alive with dynamic risk-reward choices, and every victory to feel incredible.”
Douglas Reilly, vice president and general manager at Lucasfilm Games, added that racing has always been a key part of Star Wars, from podracing to high-speed chases across the galaxy. He said Fuse Games has captured that spirit and turned it into a new kind of racing adventure.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is set in the Outer Rim, after the fall of the Empire. The galaxy is in chaos, and a new obsession with speed emerges. Gambling, entertainment, and glory fuel a booming underground racing scene called The Galactic League. Here, pilots compete for fame, fortune, and survival.
The game focuses on skill and strategy, rather than the Force or prophecy. Players take on the role of Shade, a lone racer seeking revenge and glory.
It will offer High-Stakes Racing, Dangerous Underground Sport, Customizable Craft, Multiple Game Modes, and Climb the Ranks.
