Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch two new REDMI products in India on January 6, 2026. The company will introduce the REDMI Note 15 5G smartphone along with the REDMI Pad 2 Pro 5G tablet.
The REDMI Note 15 5G will be Xiaomi’s next mid-range 5G smartphone. It was first launched in China in August, but the Indian version will come with some key upgrades. Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will feature a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization. This is a major upgrade compared to the 50MP camera used in the Chinese variant. The phone will also support 4K video recording.
The device will feature a 6.77-inch Full HD Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says the display can reach up to 3200 nits of peak brightness and will come with TUV Triple Eye Care certification. The phone is expected to run Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.
It will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Xiaomi claims this chip offers around 30 percent better CPU performance and 10 percent better GPU performance compared to its predecessor. The phone will pack a 5520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. It will also come with an IP66 rating, which offers protection against dust and water splashes.
The REDMI Note 15 5G will be sold through Amazon India, mi.com, and offline retail stores across the country.
Alongside the smartphone, Xiaomi has also confirmed the launch of the REDMI Pad 2 Pro 5G. This tablet was previously introduced in Europe in September and is now making its way to the Indian market.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro will feature a large 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to support Dolby Vision and DC dimming. It will come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile platform. The tablet will also pack a 12,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is the largest battery in a 12.1-inch tablet. It will support 33W fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.
The tablet will come with a quad speaker setup tuned with Dolby Atmos. It will also support accessories like the REDMI Smart Pen and keyboard.
After launch, the REDMI Pad 2 Pro will be available on Amazon India, Flipkart, mi.com, Xiaomi retail stores, and other offline outlets.
