OnePlus is slowly revealing key details of the upcoming OnePlus 15R, and the company has now confirmed a major upgrade for its front camera. The phone will launch on December 17 at an event in Bengaluru.
The OnePlus 15R will come with a 32-megapixel front camera, which is double the resolution of the 16MP sensor used in the OnePlus 13R. But the most notable thing is the addition of autofocus, a first for the R-series. This should help users capture sharper selfies and better videos.
OnePlus is also bringing 4K video recording at 30fps to the front camera, which is a clear improvement over the older 1080p limit.
For the main camera system, OnePlus has confirmed that the 15R will use the DetailMax Engine, the same imaging technology introduced with the OnePlus 15.

The OnePlus 15R is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and OnePlus says the chipset has been co-defined and co-optimized specifically for this device. The phone will pack a large 7,400 mAh battery.
The OnePlus 15R will go on sale via Amazon.in and the OnePlus India website. The official launch event will take place on December 17 in Bengaluru, and it will be livestreamed.
