Game fans now have another reason to watch The Game Awards 2025. The official organizers of The Game Awards 2025 have confirmed that a new entry in the Tomb Raider series will be revealed during the show.
The Game Awards 2025 will be held on December 11, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will stream live globally.
The last major full-scale game in the Tomb Raider franchise was Shadow of the Tomb Raider, released in 2018. Since then, the franchise has been silent, with no new mainline entry. According to industry reports, the studio behind the older games has reportedly been working on a “big” open-world action-adventure project since 2019. At this moment, we do not have any official details about the new game’s platform, engine, story, or release date.
