Sony Interactive Entertainment and San Diego Studio have officially announced MLB The Show Mobile. The game is now available through a limited regional release in the Philippines on both iOS and Android. This soft launch suggests that a wider global rollout will follow after testing.

MLB The Show Mobile is a free-to-play title that brings the popular baseball franchise to smartphones. The developers say it has been built from scratch for mobile, promising realistic gameplay, fast-paced modes, and detailed animations.

The game lets players build a dream roster by collecting more than a thousand player cards. It includes current MLB stars and iconic legends like Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, and Ken Griffey Jr. The focus is on real-time control, where every swing, pitch, and fielding move depends on player input.

Sony has also added a new “Risk It” system that lets players control runners during play. There is a “Momentum System” where each card has a momentum cost. You start each inning with 10 momentum points and must spend them wisely to maintain power and control. Strong performance helps maintain momentum, while poor decisions can affect results.

The game features all 30 real MLB stadiums and more than 16,000 animations. Players can choose pitchers and batters in real time, upgrade cards, craft boosts, and trade cards with others in the marketplace.

For gameplay variety, MLB The Show Mobile includes quick PvP modes, classic MLB moments, daily challenges, limited-time events, and the Show Pass.
