Lost Skies is finally heading to consoles. Publisher Humble Games and developer Bossa Games have confirmed that the open-world co-op survival adventure will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in Q1 2026.

The game first arrived on PC in Early Access in April and received its full release on Steam in September. Since then, it has built a steady following, especially among players who enjoy co-op exploration, creative building, and open-ended survival gameplay.

Lost Skies is set high above the ground, in a massive world made of floating islands. You play alone or with up to six players, exploring the skies, uncovering lost technology, and surviving in a world that fell long before your journey began. The setting mixes calm exploration with moments of real danger, especially when storms roll in or massive enemies appear on the horizon.

The world is divided into regions by huge weather walls, and each area feels different. Some islands are peaceful and overgrown, while others are dangerous and filled with hostile wildlife or ancient machines. There is always something pulling you forward, whether it is a strange structure in the distance or a mystery hidden beneath an island.

Movement feels very free thanks to tools like the grappling hook, glider, and climbing mechanics. You can swing between cliffs, glide across gaps, or drop down to hidden caverns under the islands. If you can see a place, you can usually reach it. This freedom also carries into combat, where smart movement can be just as important as weapons.

You build the skyship piece by piece, shaping the hull, placing parts where you want, and choosing materials that affect weight and balance. The physics system means bad designs can actually hurt performance, while smart builds make travel and combat easier.

Combat ramps up during boss encounters. These fights feel more like naval battles in the sky. You take your ship into combat against massive ancient beings, exchanging cannon fire while managing movement and damage. These bosses are not just for spectacle. Beating them unlocks new paths and pushes the story forward.
