KRAFTON India is taking full control of publishing Real Cricket, one of the country’s most popular mobile cricket games. The handover goes live with tomorrow’s update. This is a major update for the franchise that has dominated India’s cricket gaming space for years.

Earlier this year, KRAFTON bought a majority stake in Nautilus Mobile, the Pune studio behind Real Cricket. The deal was worth ₹118 crore. So this takeover was expected, but the timing shows that KRAFTON wants to play a bigger role in the Indian gaming space

Real Cricket has been one of India’s biggest homegrown gaming successes. The game has millions of players and is known for trying to offer a more realistic cricket experience. With KRAFTON handling publishing and Nautilus continuing development, the franchise is now set for greater improvements and better long-term support.

The new update brings two major features. The RC Pass is a 30-day progression system, and the Real Rewards T20 series lets players earn real-world rewards from in-game performance. The update also adds licensed IPL teams, including Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Lucknow Super Giants. More teams will be added later.

Players will also see visual upgrades, improved animations, new Hindi commentary voices and a cleaner interface. The game feels more polished and closer to a modern cricket title.

KRAFTON has been investing heavily in India with its gaming incubator, studio investments and esports events. Taking over Real Cricket fits into this long-term plan. The company says it wants Indian games to grow globally, and Real Cricket is one of the few Indian titles that actually has a chance to reach cricket-loving markets outside India.

The roadmap ahead includes new tournaments, more community events and bigger competitive modes. The goal is to keep players engaged throughout the year and build Real Cricket into a long-term franchise.
