Epic Games Store has revealed another surprise title as part of its ongoing holiday giveaway event. On the seventh day of the promotion, the platform has made Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night free for PC players. Anyone who claims the game before the next update goes live can keep it permanently in their library.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is developed by ArtPlay and was released in 2019. The game is widely known among fans of side scrolling action games. The game follows Miriam, a young woman fighting her way through a cursed castle filled with demons and dark creatures. The goal is simple but challenging. Survive the castle, grow stronger, and confront the force behind the chaos.
The game focuses heavily on exploration. As players move through the castle, new paths open up through shortcuts and portals. Progress also unlocks abilities such as double jumping and swimming, which allow access to areas that were previously out of reach. This design encourages players to revisit locations and discover hidden sections of the map.
Combat is also an important part of the game. Players can choose from a wide range of weapons, magic spells, and crafted equipment. Each option feels different and allows players to adjust their play style as the game progresses.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available to claim for free on the Epic Games Store for a limited time. The offer will end when the next mystery game is unlocked on December 24 at 8 AM PT or 11 AM ET.
