Ai+ Smartphone has announced NovaFlip, its upcoming premium flip smartphone, priced under ₹40,000. The device is scheduled to launch in Q1 2026 and will be part of the company’s new Nova flagship series.
NovaFlip is positioned as an affordable entry into the flip phone segment, a category that is still largely dominated by established brands, and mainly Samsung, Infinix, and Motorola have tried offering affordable flip phones, but haven’t gotten many customers. Now, Ai+ wants to bring the flip form factor to a wider audience, while keeping the price within reach of more users. That intent is clear. However, the execution will matter far more.
The Nova series will include multiple models, such as Nova Pro, Nova Ultra, Nova Flip, and even a foldable phone in the future. With this lineup, Ai+ is clearly trying to project itself as a serious flagship brand. NovaFlip is being pitched as a device that is compact when closed and fully functional when opened, with software that adapts to both states instead of treating the flip design as a gimmick.
The phone runs on NxtQuantum OS, which focuses on privacy and simplicity. There is no preloaded bloatware, no aggressive tracking, and more control in the hands of the user. Closed-screen interactions are designed for quick checks, while the open state offers a full smartphone experience. The idea is to reduce unnecessary screen time and make the phone easier to live with.

Ai+ is still a very new brand, and its first smartphone did not perform well in the market. Despite heavy promotion and social media campaigns, the device failed to gain real traction among buyers. That matters, especially in the premium segment. When people spend close to ₹40,000, they do not just look at features. They look at brand reliability, service quality, and long-term trust. Right now, Infinix Flip is the most affordable flip phone in the country. It is available at Rs. 39,999, but still fails to get customers.
Launching a flip phone without first fixing brand perception could limit the NovaFlip’s reach, no matter how attractive the pricing looks. For Ai+ to succeed with NovaFlip, the company will need to focus less on emotional advertising and more on proving itself through product quality and user experience.
NovaFlip could help Ai+ get noticed again. But whether it helps the brand grow depends on what comes after the launch.
