Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and ARVORE have announced a new VR game based on The Boys, a multi-Emmy Award-winning TV series. The game is called The Boys: Trigger Warning, and it will be released in 2026 for PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest at a launch price of $23.99.
The game is being positioned as a true extension of the show’s universe. ARVORE has worked closely with the writers and cast of the series to bring the same “edge, humor, and brutality” in the game that made the show popular.
The Boys: Trigger Warning is a stealth-action VR title that introduces a completely new character. The story begins with a normal family outing that goes horribly wrong after the player uncovers one of Vought’s disturbing secrets. This accident forces the character to become a Supe—something they never wanted.
From there, the player teams up with The Boys and begins infiltrating Vought to take revenge. The gameplay mixes stealth, hand-to-hand combat, and chaotic action. Dark humor, over-the-top violence, and the franchise’s gritty tone remain a core part of the experience.
This is not a retelling of the TV show. It is an original story designed specifically for VR, but built fully inside the established universe.
ARVORE is known for its VR-first design approach, and the game is being published under Sony Pictures VR. Both companies say the project focuses heavily on physical gameplay. It means players will actually sneak, fight, and move through environments instead of relying on traditional button inputs.
For now, fans will need to wait for gameplay details and a final release date, but one thing is clear: The Boys in VR is going to be interesting.
