If you have been trying to log into Valorant or League of Legends today and nothing is working, you are not alone. On November 18, 2025, players across the world suddenly found themselves unable to connect, start a match, or even access basic game services. At first, many assumed it was just another Riot Games maintenance window. But when I checked the Riot Games Service Status page, nothing was there. But users have been reporting issus on DownDetector.

This outage is actually linked to a massive Cloudflare issue. Cloudflare is one of the largest internet security and content delivery providers in the world. A huge number of companies rely on it to keep their services running smoothly. When Cloudflare goes down, half the internet feels it.

Cloudflare has already acknowledged the problem on its status page. They said users are facing widespread 500 errors, and even their own dashboard and API are failing in several regions. The team is currently investigating the issue and trying to restore normal operations.

Because Cloudflare sits at the center of so many online services, this is not just about Valorant or League of Legends. X (formerly Twitter), ChatGPT, and even DownDetector are struggling. That is the ironic part is that even the websites that are supposed to tell you what is down… are down.

Right now, there is no clear timeline for when things will be back online. Riot’s servers are not the problem here, so there is nothing players can do but wait. The only reliable way to follow updates is through the Cloudflare Status page.

Until then, expect login issues, failed match queues, and in-game purchases not going through. Once Cloudflare fixes the root of the issue, everything should start returning to normal.
