Sony has launched the INZONE H9 II (WH-G910N) in India, the second-generation model in its flagship gaming headset series. The company says it redesigned the headset using feedback from Fnatic, one of the world’s top esports teams. The result is a headset that focuses on better noise cancellation, clearer communication, improved comfort, and more stable wireless performance for both PC and console gaming.
The biggest upgrade is the new Active Noise Cancellation system, powered by the same driver unit used in Sony’s WH-1000XM6. This allows the headset to capture and control a wider range of in-game audio. Players can hear soft movement cues like footsteps, along with loud ambient effects, without letting outside noise interfere. Sony also includes an Ambient Sound Mode so players can stay aware of their surroundings when needed.
Sony has also improved voice communication, which is important for competitive multiplayer games. The INZONE H9 II comes with a directional cardioid boom microphone that stays in a fixed position. It is supported by AI-based noise filtering and super wideband audio, so voices sound clearer even in noisy environments. This should help teams communicate more accurately during fast-paced matches.
The headset weighs 260 grams, which is lighter than many high-end gaming headsets. Sony has redesigned the headband to distribute pressure more evenly, making the H9 II suitable for long gaming sessions. The earcups use a circumaural design, and the overall fit appears more balanced than the first-generation model.
For wireless performance, the headset uses ultra-low-latency 2.4GHz connectivity via the included USB-C dongle. It also supports Bluetooth, allowing players to take calls or hear notifications while gaming. Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with ANC off, and a 5-minute quick charge gives 1 hour of playtime, which is useful for last-minute matches.
The INZONE H9 II features 30mm drivers, a closed-back dynamic design, and support for 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming through the INZONE Hub. This helps create directional audio that gives players a competitive edge by letting them pinpoint enemy positions more accurately. The headset also supports wired listening using the included 2.0m detachable cable.
Sony includes a detailed set of Bluetooth profiles and codecs, including Bluetooth 5.3, LE Audio, and codecs like SBC and AAC. The headset also comes with a pouch, USB cables, and a USB-C transceiver inside the box.
The Sony INZONE H9 II is priced at Rs. 28,990. It will be available in Black and White starting 22 November 2025 on Amazon.in, Flipkart, and Sony’s own ShopAtSC.com.
