Redmi has confirmed the India launch date for its new budget 5G phone, the Redmi 15C 5G. The company posted a teaser on X, calling it the “2026 Big Boss” and announced that the phone will arrive on December 3. The handset will be available on Amazon and the Xiaomi India website.
Redmi has also created a timeline to reveal key details before the launch. The company will show the design on November 28. Battery information will come on December 28 and display details on December 30. On December 1 and 2, Redmi will reveal the phone’s multitasking features and its “core memories”, which likely refer to RAM, storage, or camera capabilities.
The phone is expected to be a budget 5G device with decent performance. It has already been launched in China, so we already know the specs, and there shouldn’t be many changes for India. It will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also features a large 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also offer a 6,000mAh battery.
Pricing leaks indicate that the Redmi 15C 5G may start at Rs. 12,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB model could be priced at Rs. 13,999, while the top 8GB + 128GB option may cost Rs. 14,999.
