Meta has started selling the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 smart glasses in India through Amazon, Flipkart, and Reliance Digital. The sale began today, November 21, and comes with a limited-time discount.
The smart glasses were originally launched in May for Rs. 29,900. With the new offer, buyers can get them for an effective price of Rs. 22,920, including a 20 percent discount and bank offers. The company says the offer will end on December 1. EMI options start at Rs. 1,919 per month.
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 collection includes several frame and lens options, including prescription, sun, polarized, and Transitions lenses. The design follows classic Ray-Ban styles and comes with a compact charging case.
A key highlight is the built-in Meta AI. Users can say “Hey Meta” to get answers, control features, and access information without touching their phone. Meta also added a visible LED indicator on the glasses that lights up when the camera is recording, ensuring privacy for people around you.
Meta has also rolled out new India-focused features. Users can now talk to Meta AI in Hindi. Meta has introduced Deepika Padukone’s voice as a new interactive AI voice option. Another new feature called “Restyle” lets users transform photos with festive themes by saying, “Hey Meta, restyle this.”
Meta is also preparing to test UPI Lite payments on the glasses. This will let users make quick payments under Rs. 1,000 by looking at a QR code and saying, “Hey Meta, scan and pay.” The company says the goal is to make small digital payments faster and easier.
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 glasses are now available across major online platforms with launch offers, making this a good time for buyers who want to try AI-powered smart glasses at a lower price.
