Qualcomm has introduced a new version of its GPU management app for Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon chips. The company has rebranded its earlier Adreno Control Panel beta as the Snapdragon Control Panel, and it is now available for all users. The app keeps the same core features but adds a cleaner interface and better tools for tuning performance.
The Snapdragon Control Panel is designed to detect games installed on your PC, including everything from your Steam library. Once the app recognises a game, you can adjust several graphics settings to get the best possible performance. These include super resolution, frame caps, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, texture settings, and more. It works through a profile manager that lets you fine-tune each game individually. This makes it easier for users to either push visual quality or focus on smooth gameplay.
One of the biggest advantages of the new app is driver management. It can check for GPU driver updates, send alerts when new versions are available, and even install them automatically. For Windows on Snapdragon users, this is a much-needed step towards improving game compatibility and stability.
Qualcomm says the new control panel is built to support graphics, compute tasks, and AI features on future Snapdragon hardware. The goal is to give developers, gamers, and power users a single hub to customise system behaviour without digging through multiple menus.
Alongside the app, Qualcomm has also released a new Adreno GPU driver. The update includes fixes and improvements for over 100 games, along with general stability improvements. The company also confirmed that its upcoming Snapdragon X2 Elite chip will support upgradable graphics drivers from day one. It will also feature native AVX2 emulation, something that helps many modern PC games run properly. Existing Snapdragon X-series devices will get AVX2 support soon through an update.
