OnePlus is now gearing up for another major launch in India. After introducing the OnePlus 15 globally last week, the company has officially teased the upcoming OnePlus 15R. The first teaser is already out, and it gives us a clear idea of what the phone aims to offer. The tagline “Power On. Limits Off.” sets the tone, hinting at a performance-focused device that continues the “R-series” value flagship positioning.
The teaser shows the phone in Black and Green colours. OnePlus is sticking to a premium look with a metal frame and the familiar Plus Key on the left. When the image is brightened, we can see a dual-camera setup instead of the triple-camera layout that was used in the OnePlus 13R. An LED flash sits next to the camera.
The OnePlus 15R is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The screen is said to support a 165Hz refresh rate, so gaming and scrolling should feel smooth. This will be one of the biggest and fastest displays in the R-series so far.
OnePlus usually positions the R-series as powerful value flagships, and the 15R will be no different. Early details suggest that the phone may be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The phone will also ship with Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, so users will get the latest software version out of the box. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is also expected, which should offer faster and more reliable unlocking.
The phone is confirmed to have dual rear cameras. The primary sensor is expected to be a 50-megapixel main camera, paired with a secondary camera for depth or ultra-wide shots. While it drops the triple-camera setup from last year, OnePlus might still offer strong camera performance through software tuning.
The OnePlus 15R is rumoured to pack either a 7800mAh or 8000mAh battery. This is one of the largest batteries we have seen in a OnePlus phone. It will support 100W or 120W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The OnePlus 15R will launch in December 2025 in India. The phone will be available on Amazon India, the OnePlus online store, and offline retail stores.
