Mafia: The Old Country is getting a major new update this month. 2K and Hangar 13 have announced that the Free Ride update will roll out on November 20, bringing several new features and gameplay improvements to the game.
The update adds a dedicated Free Ride Mode where players can explore Sicily more freely. This mode includes high-speed car and horse races, new combat challenges, stealth missions, and hidden secrets across the Valle Dorata region. It aims to make the world feel more open and replayable.
Players will also get a first-person driving camera, giving a new way to experience the streets of early-1900s Sicily. A new Classic difficulty mode is being added too, which makes missions tougher and more grounded. The update also introduces a Photo Mode, so players can capture cinematic shots of the game’s beautiful environments.
There is also a Cinema Siciliano Mode that gives the game a vintage film look. Along the way, players can unlock new outfits, cars, weapons, and charms that slightly change gameplay.
Mafia: The Old Country tells the story of Enzo Favara as he rises through the criminal underworld of Sicily. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A PlayStation Plus Premium Game Trial will be available on November 21.
