Lava has announced the launch of its new smartphone, Lava AGNI 4, in India. The phone looks like one of the brand’s most ambitious smartphones yet. The company is trying to blend solid hardware with a fresh AI experience, and the result is a phone that feels more refined than previous AGNI models.
The AGNI 4 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness goes up to 2400 nits, so visibility outdoors should be strong. The panel supports 10-bit colour and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Lava is using the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset here. This is paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM. The phone comes with a 4300mm² VC Liquid Cooling System and a Game Booster Mode, which suggests that Lava is aiming at users who enjoy gaming or heavy multitasking. It has 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, which is fast and enough for most users.

The device runs clean Android 15 without bloatware. Lava is also promising three years of Android updates and four years of security patches, which is impressive for this segment.
One of the biggest talking points of the AGNI 4 is Lava’s new Vayu AI. This is a system-level AI interface placed directly on the home screen. Lava calls it an “emotionally aware” companion, built specifically for Indian users. It is not just another voice assistant. It supports voice and visual intelligence, Circle-to-Search, and multiple AI agents for different needs.
For education, it includes AI Math and English teachers who explain problems step by step. For lifestyle, it offers an AI Horoscope and AI companion chats. Productivity tools include AI call summaries, text correction and translation, and document analysis. Creative tools include an AI Photo Editor with object removal and an AI Image Generator. Lava seems to be treating Vayu AI as a core part of the experience, not just an add-on.
The AGNI 4 also feels premium in hand. It has an aluminium alloy metal frame, a Super Anti-Drop Diamond Frame for protection, and an AG glass back. There is an Action Key on the side that lets you assign over 100 shortcuts through short, double, or long presses. This is a useful addition for quick tasks like launching the camera or turning on the torch.
The main camera is a 50MP sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is also 50MP. Both front and rear cameras support up to 4K 60fps video recording, which is rare at this price.

Connectivity features include 5G with wideband support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS systems, and USB Type-C 3.2. There are stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also comes with IP64 dust and water resistance.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Lava says it can go from 0 to 50 percent in under 19 minutes. With this battery size and clean software, users can expect a full day of use comfortably.
The Lava AGNI 4 is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It will be available in Phantom Black and Lunar Mist colours.
The first sale is scheduled for November 25, 2025, at 12 PM on Amazon India. Lava is offering a Rs 2,000 discount on all bank credit and debit cards for launch day buyers. The company is also offering free at-home replacement for any manufacturing defects under warranty.
