The Golden Joystick Awards 2025 took place on November 20 in London. This event is one of the biggest fan-voted gaming award shows in the world, often called the People’s Gaming Awards. Players cast over 21 million votes this year, making it one of the most competitive editions yet.

As expected, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dominated the night. The game won seven major awards, including Ultimate Game of the Year, Best Storytelling, and Best Soundtrack. Its studio, Sandfall Interactive, also won Studio of the Year.

A few categories were not fan-voted. Donkey Kong Bananza won Critics’ Choice, Schedule 1 earned the Breakthrough Award, and PEAK took home the Streamers’ Choice award.
