Motorola has introduced its new smartphone Moto X70 Air, in China. The most notable thing about the phone is its thickness and weight. The phone measures 5.9mm and weighs 159 grams. Despite its slim profile, the Moto X70 Air impresses with a surprisingly large 4,800mAh battery. This sets it apart from similarly thin flagship models.
Moto X70 Air features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2712 x 1220 pixel resolution. The panel is flat and offers 4,500 nits peak brightness.

The Moto X70 Air is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. It includes a 3D vapor chamber for better cooling, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This setup ensures smooth performance for daily tasks and moderate gaming. The phone runs Android 16 and supports 5G connectivity. Users can expect the latest Android features and improved network speeds.
On the back, the Moto X70 Air features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide 120° camera. The front houses a 50MP selfie camera. While the phone is mid-range, this camera setup promises versatile photography options.

The phone comes in three Pantone colors: Gadget Gray, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green. Each color has a matching accent for the camera rings and the power button. Motorola has reinforced the metal frame to survive accidental drops. The device carries an IP68 and IP69 rating. This makes the X70 Air both stylish and resilient for everyday use.
While it is not as thin as premium phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge or iPhone Air, Motorola has managed to pack a larger battery without making the device noticeably thicker. The Moto X70 Air features a 4,800mAh battery, far larger than the 3,900mAh battery in the Galaxy S25 Edge and the 3,149mAh cell in the iPhone Air. It supports 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Moto X70 Air is currently listed on Lenovo China’s website, but the price has not been revealed. The global variant is expected to launch as the Motorola Edge 70, likely within the next few months.
