ASUS is getting ready to launch its next big gaming monitor, the ROG Super Kill 27 Pro. This upcoming display is already creating buzz because it could become the world’s first 720Hz monitor.
The new monitor uses LG’s Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which is an upgraded version of the OLED displays we have seen before. Instead of three layers of color (red, green, and blue), this new panel uses four layers. This setup helps improve brightness, color accuracy, and overall image quality.
According to reports, the ROG Super Kill 27 Pro will support two display modes. You can use it at 1440p resolution with a 540Hz refresh rate, or switch to 720p resolution for an unbelievable 720Hz refresh rate. That is faster than any gaming monitor available right now, and it shows how serious ASUS is about pushing gaming performance to the next level.
ASUS has already showcased the monitor in China, where it will be sold under the name ROG Super Kill 27 Pro, while the international model will likely be called ROG PG27AQWP-W. The monitor is expected to feature DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 for high-quality visuals, and several USB ports for extra connectivity.
In terms of performance, the display will have an extremely low response time of just 0.02ms, along with True Black HDR 500 certification for deep blacks and vivid colors. That makes it ideal for fast-paced gaming and esports.
ASUS has not officially launched the monitor yet, but reports suggest that the official announcement could happen on November 1, 2025. The expected price is around 8,499 Yuan.
