Vivo has launched two new smartphones in India, the Y31 5G and Y31 Pro 5G. The Y31 5G is the successor to last year’s Y29 and comes with several upgrades, including a bigger battery, improved water resistance, and a few design enhancements. The Y31 Pro 5G, similar to the Y300t launched in China, offers a better display, faster processor, and higher storage options.
The vivo Y31 5G has a sleek body measuring 166.14×77.01×8.39 mm and weighs 209g. It comes with MIL-STD-810H compliance and IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance, featuring a triple-layer water-resistant design for added protection. The Y31 Pro 5G is slightly lighter, weighing 204–208g with dimensions of 165.7×76.3×8.09–8.19mm. It comes with IP64 dust and water resistance.
The Y31 5G sports a 6.68-inch HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The Y31 Pro 5G has a larger 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1050 nits brightness, offering a sharper and brighter viewing experience.
The Y31 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The Y31 Pro 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, offering better performance for gaming and multitasking.
The Y31 5G offers 4GB or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The Y31 Pro 5G comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage (UFS 3.1) for faster read/write speeds and smoother performance.
Both phones feature a 50MP main rear camera. The Y31 5G has an 8MP front camera, while the Y31 Pro 5G has an 8MP front camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The Y31 Pro 5G also supports 4K video recording.
Vivo Y31 5G and Y31 Pro 5G feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick and secure unlocking. Stereo speakers are included on both phones, providing better audio output for media consumption.
Both devices support 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth (Y31: 4.2, Y31 Pro: 5.4), GPS, and other global positioning systems. USB Type-C is available for charging and audio.
Vivo Y31 5G and Y31 Pro 5G come with a massive 6500mAh battery with 44W fast charging, ensuring long hours of usage without frequent recharging.

The vivo Y31 5G comes in Diamond Green and Rose Red. The 4GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 14,999, and the 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 16,499. The Y31 Pro 5G comes in Mocha Brown and Dreamy White. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 18,999, and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 20,999.
