TECNO has officially launched its new POVA Slim 5G smartphone in India. As the name suggests, the focus here is on design, and TECNO claims this is the world’s slimmest curved display 5G phone. It is just 5.95mm thin and weighs only 156 grams. The device is lighter and slimmer than most premium phones in the market, but still manages to pack a large 5160mAh battery.
The first thing you notice about the POVA Slim 5G is its sleek profile. It feels really thin in the hand, but it hasn’t compromised on durability. The phone comes with MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
It also has a Dynamic Mood Light around the rear cameras. It illuminates and reacts to calls, notifications, and even user moods. This feels really cool.
The phone sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has up to 4500 nits peak brightness and supports HDR visuals. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The smartphone runs Android 15 with HiOS 15 on top. TECNO is pushing its in-house Ella AI assistant, which supports Indian languages. The AI features include AI Call Assistant, AI Writing, AI Image Editing, Circle to Search, and Privacy Blurring. These additions make the phone feel smarter and more tailored for Indian users.
TECNO POVA Slim 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset built on the 6nm process. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, with support for up to 8GB virtual RAM expansion.. The phone offers smooth and responsive performance.
The POVA Slim 5G features a 50MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash and support for 2K video recording. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter, which offers 2K recording.
Connectivity is another highlight of the phone. It offers 5G+ carrier aggregation, 4×4 MIMO, Dual SIM Dual Active, and TÜV Rheinland high network performance certification. So, TECNO promises strong and stable network performance. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor, a bottom-ported speaker, and Dolby Atmos.
Despite being so thin, TECNO has managed to include a 5160mAh battery. The phone also supports 45W fast charging, and TECNO is bundling the charger inside the box.
The TECNO POVA Slim 5G is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. It will be available in Sky Blue, Slim White, and Cool Black colours. The smartphone will be available starting September 8 on Flipkart.
