The Pokémon Company, along with developers Game Freak and Koei Tecmo, has announced Pokémon Pokopia for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will release in spring 2026, both physically and digitally. Digital pre-orders will begin on November 12.
Pokémon Pokopia is a life simulation game where players can create their own Pokémon paradise. The game stars Ditto as the main character, but this time, Ditto has transformed to look like a human. Players can explore the world, befriend different Pokémon, and learn their moves. For example, you can use Bulbasaur’s Leafage to grow plants or Squirtle’s Water Gun to revive dried-up greenery.
The game focuses on building and creativity. Players can collect materials, craft furniture, grow vegetables, and build homes for Pokémon. Over time, they can develop a full town that other Pokémon or even players can visit.
Pokémon Pokopia also features a real-time day and night cycle, changing weather conditions, and unique locations that add variety to the gameplay. It promises a cozy and relaxing experience for fans who enjoy life simulation with a Pokémon twist.
The game will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2026.
