Publisher Deep Silver and developer KING Art Games have announced Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV for PC. The game will release on Steam in 2026.

The new title brings players back to the series’ real-time strategy roots. You can command four unique factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus, who make their series debut. Each faction offers its own commanders, units, buildings, and gameplay style.

The game features over 70 campaign missions, co-written by Black Library author John French. Solo or co-op players can follow each faction through dedicated story campaigns, complete with cinematic cutscenes.

Classic Dawn of War gameplay returns, with base building, squad specialization, and an expanded melee combat system called Sync Kill. Players can also enjoy replayable modes like Last Stand, Skirmish, and multiplayer battles in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats. A Painter tool allows players to customize their armies or use iconic factions from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
