Vivo has officially confirmed the India launch date of its upcoming smartphone, the Vivo V60 5G. The phone is all set to launch in India on August 12 at 12 PM. It is the successor to the Vivo V50, which was launched earlier this year in February.

Ahead of the launch, Vivo has also revealed the design, colour options, and some of the key features of the phone.

Vivo V60 5G

The Vivo V60 5G will be available in three colour options: Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue. The company has confirmed that the phone will feature a quad-curved display, which should give it a more premium look and feel. The Vivo V60 5G will also be IP68 and IP69 rated, making it resistant to dust and water.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which should offer solid performance for day-to-day tasks and gaming. It will run on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 out of the box. The phone will pack a massive 6,500mAh battery and is expected to support 90W fast charging.

The phone will feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 10x zoom. Vivo has partnered with Zeiss again, so you can expect better portrait and low-light photography. The phone will also include multifocal portrait modes. On the front, leaks suggest it may come with a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

Vivo V60 5G

The device is expected to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness. Vivo is also focusing on AI features this time. The V60 5G will come with support for Google Gemini AI, including Gemini Live, and other smart tools like AI Captions and AI Smart Call Assistant.

Expected Price in India

While Vivo has not revealed the pricing yet, we expect the Vivo V60 5G price in India to start around Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 35,000, keeping in line with the pricing of the Vivo V50 and considering the upgraded hardware.

If Vivo gets the pricing right, this could be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone segment. We will know more once the phone launches on August 12. Stay tuned!
