IO Interactive has released Hitman: World of Assassination on iPhone and iPad. The mobile game gives Apple users access to the complete assassination trilogy on mobile devices. The game became available on August 27 and brings together Hitman 1, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 in a single package.

All locations and missions from the trilogy are included, from iconic setups like the Paris fashion show to the skyscrapers of Dubai. The mobile version supports both touch controls and external controllers. So, you can play the game in the style that suits you best.

The popular Freelancer mode, which adds roguelike elements to the game, is not part of the initial release but will be added later this year through an update.

For pricing, the full game is listed at £69.99. Players who prefer to buy in parts can unlock individual locations for £2.99 each. To give newcomers a taste, the ICA Facility training mission and the Sebastian Principle Escalation set in Dubai are free to try.

Device support is limited to Apple’s most recent and powerful models. Here’s the list.

  • iPhone 16 series
  • iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPad Pro and iPad Air (M1 or newer)
  • iPad mini (A17 Pro)

As someone who has been following the Hitman franchise for years, this feels like a huge leap for mobile gaming. IO Interactive has managed to bring a console-quality stealth experience to smartphones, something we could not have imagined a few years back.

The big question now: how will players adapt to sneaking, disguising, and executing their hits using touch controls on a smaller screen?
