Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is coming to PlayStation 5 on November 4, 2025. Publisher Xbox Game Studios and developers World’s Edge and Relic Entertainment made the announcement. Pre-orders are already open on the PlayStation Store.
The game is currently available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. This will be the first time the iconic strategy title is playable on a PlayStation console.
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition lets players experience 500 years of history, from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance. It features four epic campaigns, 35 missions, and 10 unique civilizations. Battles take place across diverse maps and biomes, offering a full real-time strategy experience.
The game has been optimized for the PS5 controller and brings a new era of strategy to console players. It originally won the 2021 Best Simulation/Strategy Game award at The Game Awards.
