vivo has launched its most powerful and premium foldable phone yet, the vivo X Fold5, in India. The foldable phone has impressive durability and offers cutting-edge features. It is priced at Rs. 1,49,999.
The vivo X Fold5 features two LTPO AMOLED displays, one on the inside and one on the outside. The main display is an 8.03-inch 2K+ AMOLED panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. It also has UTG Glass and boasts up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. There is also a 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel cover display with 1-120Hz refresh rate, Armor Glass, and Dolby Vision. Both screens are vibrant, smooth, and extremely bright.
The carbon fiber support hinge is compact and durable. vivo claims it can withstand up to 600,000 folds. The hinge antenna design also improves signal strength by optimizing internal space. The device is also one of the most durable foldables in the market. It offers IPX8 + IPX9 water resistance, IP5X dust resistance, and -20°C freeze resistance. It is just 9.2mm thick when folded and 4.3mm thick when unfolded.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the same chipset used in the vivo X Fold3 Pro. It includes Adreno 750 GPU, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It ensures top-tier performance and fast data access. To keep the device cool, vivo has equipped it with a 20762mm² vapor chamber + graphite heat dissipation system. It runs OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
The X Fold5 comes with a triple camera. It has a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX921, 1/1.56”, f/1.57, OIS, ZEISS T* coating), 50MP ultra-wide lens (Samsung JN1, 1/2.76”, f/2.0, 15mm focal length), and 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera (Sony IMX882, 1/1.95”, f/2.55, ZEISS optics). For selfies and video calls, vivo has added dual 20MP cameras, one on the inner display and one on the outer screen, both with f/2.4 aperture. The cameras are designed in collaboration with ZEISS, which is known for producing some of the best lens optics in the world.

The phone supports 80W wired fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging support.
