Konami has officially confirmed that Silent Hill f will launch on September 25 for PlayStation 5. The announcement was made during the recent State of Play, along with a brand-new trailer showing off the haunting world and gameplay.
In this new horror game, players will step into the shoes of Shimizu Hinako, a high school girl from Ebisugaoka. As her peaceful town is slowly consumed by fog and twisted horrors, Hinako must solve puzzles, survive attacks, and make tough choices that affect how her story ends.
The game explores a powerful theme: “finding beauty in terror.” Everything from visuals to music is designed around this idea, giving Silent Hill f a unique and eerie identity.
Set in 1960s Japan, the game captures the atmosphere of the era with detailed environments in 4K resolution. The fog-covered streets and creepy towns give players a sense of unease while still looking stunning.
The monsters are created by artist kera, blending Japanese horror with the familiar disturbing style of past Silent Hill games. Music by Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage adds to the tension with a haunting soundtrack that connects the past and present.
The puzzles in Silent Hill f are deeply connected to the character’s psychological state. They reflect Hinako’s emotional pain and draw inspiration from Japanese culture, including scarecrows and folklore.
