After several rumours and leaks, POCO has now confirmed the launch date of its POCO F7 smartphone in India and global markets. The launch is set for June 24th.
The phone is expected to be the rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which has already been launched in China. However, the limited edition version looks different from the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
The biggest highlight of the Indian version is the massive 7550mAh silicon-carbon battery. POCO says it is the largest battery ever on a smartphone in India. The phone supports 90W fast charging and promises to keep 80% battery health even after 1600 charging cycles. It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The global version is expected to come with a slightly smaller 6500mAh battery, which should make it a bit lighter than the Indian version.
The POCO F7 is expected to come with a 6.83-inch OLED display that supports 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. The display also includes advanced dimming technology to protect your eyes.
It will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with support for up to 3.2GHz speeds. The phone will include Adreno 825 GPU for smooth graphics performance. You will get up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1.
The phone will run Android 15 with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2 on top. It will have dual SIM support. On the back, it will feature a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there will be a 20MP selfie camera. The rear camera can record up to 4K at 60fps, and the front camera supports 1080p at 60fps.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. It will also be dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with multiple satellite systems, USB Type-C, and NFC.
The Indian variant will be 7.98mm thick and weigh 219 grams, while the global model will be slightly thicker and weigh around 215.7 grams.
The POCO F7 is expected to be priced between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 35,000 for the 12GB + 256GB model. As usual, the phone will be sold via Flipkart, and we can expect some exciting launch offers too.
