Rockstar Games has just released a major update to GTA Online. It is called Money Fronts. The update adds new missions, new businesses, and new vehicles. It also brings a fresh way to earn both clean and dirty money in the game.
In this update, players can set up and run front businesses. These are legit businesses that secretly launder your illegal earnings. The main business is a Car Wash. You can also buy Smoke on the Water (a weed dispensary) and Higgins Helitours (an air tour company). These fronts look legal but help you clean your money in the background.
You will work with Mr. Faber, a powerful figure in San Andreas’ underground economy. He teams you up with Martin Madrazo and a new character named Raf De Angelis, who helps you get started.
To launch laundering missions, use the laptop at your business or call Raf. This week, missions from the Car Wash offer 2X GTA$ and RP.
Running these businesses gives a boost to your existing criminal empire. If you own the Car Wash, your Counterfeit Cash Factory makes more money. If you run Smoke on the Water, your Weed Farm profits go up. Operating Helitours increases profits from Air Freight Cargo.
But there is a catch. When you do illegal jobs, your business gets Heat. This means more attention from the cops. If a business has too much Heat, it stops making passive income. To cool things down, you can do legal tasks like washing cars, giving air tours, or making weed deliveries.
Mr. Faber also offers new types of missions called Faber Work. You may be asked to recover stolen goods, escort valuable cargo, or take down rival crews. These jobs pay well but also raise Heat. So you need to balance shady jobs with legal ones to keep the money flowing.
The update brings six new vehicles:
- Överflöd Suzume supercar (early access and free for GTA+ members until July 16)
- Karin Woodlander SUV
- Karin Everon RS SUV
- Declasse Tampa GT
- Annis Hardy sedan
- Dewbauchee Rapid GT X
More vehicles will be added in the coming weeks. Also, over 50 older vehicles now support Missile Lock-On Jammers, making it harder for griefers to attack.
There is also a new Western Police Bike, and you can wear a Summer Highway Patrol Outfit to match.
GTA+ members get more benefits in this update. They get early access to the new supercar, a second spin on the Lucky Wheel every day, and more.
This update also includes quality-of-life improvements. You can now skip repeated cutscenes. Arena War payouts have been increased. Some older missions, like the Biker Boxville ones, have been removed.
Rockstar says more content is on the way. This includes:
- Six more vehicles
- A new job as a transporter of high-value goods
- A law enforcement-themed Community Challenge
- Halloween content
- Independence Day events
- And new modes set on Cayo Perico
GTA Online’s Money Fronts update is now available. If you are a returning player or just starting out, this is a good time to jump in and build your criminal empire.
