Nothing is gearing up for a big launch later this month. After teasing the next CMF phone last week with hints about an improved camera, the company has now confirmed that it will unveil the CMF Phone 2 Pro along with three new true wireless earbuds on April 28.
Yes, you read that right — the upcoming phone will be called CMF Phone 2 Pro. The addition of “Pro” in the name hints at a more premium offering compared to the first CMF Phone, which was launched in the Rs. 15000 segment. The new model is expected to come with notable camera improvements at a slightly higher price point.
The name also raises the question of whether there will be a regular CMF Phone 2. We might get clarity on that during the launch event.
Alongside the CMF Phone 2 Pro, Nothing will also introduce three new earbuds: CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus. These will join the CMF Buds Pro 2, which launched last year.
Coming back to the phone, the teaser shows a close-up image with a new finish on the back, while also revealing visible screws — a clear sign that the back panel will still be removable.
According to leaks, the CMF Phone 2 Pro could feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the “Pro” tag seems unusual for a compact phone, especially when the original CMF Phone had a larger 6.67-inch display It might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, which is an upgrade over the Dimensity 7300 used in the previous model. The device is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The launch event is scheduled for April 28 at 2:00 PM BST, and it will be held in the UK. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch date.
